Data Deletion Instructions

Last Updated: July 20, 2026

Glance gives you control over your data. Use the options below to remove connected accounts, delete specific content, or permanently delete your Glance account. For details on what we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy Policy.

Option 1 — Disconnect a connected account

Use this when you want to stop Glance from accessing a third-party platform (Google, Meta, GitHub, YouTube, etc.) but keep your Glance account and other widgets.

In the Glance iOS app:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Integrations
  3. Find the provider you want to remove (e.g. Google, Meta, GitHub)
  4. Tap Disconnect and confirm

This immediately deletes the stored OAuth tokens for that connection on our servers. Automations using that connection will stop fetching new data. Previously cached values may remain in your widget feeds until you delete the widget or refresh with another source.

Note: On-device integrations (Weather, Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, Motion & Fitness) do not use OAuth. Revoke those by removing the widget or turning off the relevant permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

Option 2 — Revoke access on Google or Meta

You can also remove Glance's access directly from the platform that issued the connection:

After revoking on the platform side, we recommend also disconnecting in Glance (Option 1) so your account reflects the change immediately.

Option 3 — Delete individual feeds or widgets

To remove specific content without deleting your entire account:

  • Mobile app: Open My Widgets, select the widget, and delete it
  • Web console: Sign in at glance.cool/dashboard, open the feed or widget, and delete it from there

Deleting a widget or feed removes its stored state, event history, and associated automations from our systems according to your plan's retention rules.

Option 4 — Delete your entire Glance account

This permanently deletes your account and all associated data, including feeds, widgets, templates, automations, integration connections, devices, public widgets, and subscriptions. This action cannot be undone.

In the Glance iOS app:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Tap Delete account
  4. Type DELETE to confirm

If you have an active paid subscription through the App Store, you may need to cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings before account deletion is allowed. Canceling in the App Store does not automatically delete your Glance data — you must still delete your account if you want all data removed.

In the web console:

  1. Sign in at glance.cool/dashboard/settings
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click Delete account and confirm

What happens after deletion

  • Account deletion removes all personal data, integration tokens, feeds, widgets, and automations within 30 days
  • Published public widgets are unpublished immediately; subscribers stop receiving your content
  • Encrypted backup copies are purged within 90 days
  • We may retain minimal billing or transaction records where required for legal and accounting purposes

Removed Glance from Facebook or Instagram?

If you remove Glance from your Facebook or Instagram app settings, Meta notifies us automatically. We delete your Meta OAuth connection and stored tokens. You can check the status of that request if Meta provided you a confirmation code — visit Meta deletion status and enter your code, or contact privacy@glance.cool.

Request help deleting your data

If you cannot access your account or need assistance deleting data, email privacy@glance.cool from the email address associated with your Glance account. Include your account email and a description of what you would like deleted. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
