Describe the widget you want in Chat. Glance designs the layout, connects data sources, and can schedule automatic updates.

What Glance AI can do

• Design a layout matched to your widget size (small, medium, large, or extra-large). Extra-large needs Pro or Power. Glance AI reads the plan and says so when the account is Free.
• Create a dynamic widget and attach the layout
• Connect integrations (Google Calendar, GitHub, on-device sources, and more)
• Save your own RSS feed or JSON API as a custom connection. Pro and Power. Glance AI can save the URL. You paste the key yourself.
• Set up automations on a schedule you choose
• Run a test update so you can preview before pinning

Suggested workflow

1. Connect integrations first in the iOS app under Settings → Integrations (or ask Glance AI to guide you).
2. Open Chat and describe the widget — what data, how often it should update, and any style preferences.
3. Review the layout preview in Chat before confirming.
4. When Glance AI finishes, pin the widget using Pin to Home Screen.

Glance AI vs MCP

Two kinds of AI, one Home Screen. Glance AI is Chat inside the iOS app. It can design a layout, connect Glance integrations, and set automations. Public MCP is ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor. Those hosts keep their own apps and push into Glance with ingest. They can attach on-device Apple sources (Weather, Calendar, Reminders, Motion) with create_automation, and they can save a custom connection so Glance fetches a URL you name. They can also attach a catalog connector the user already connected in Glance — Google Calendar, GitHub, and later partners. ChatGPT checks that connection, then Glance refreshes it on a schedule.

In-app message caps apply only here. Connecting MCP does not spend Glance AI messages. Install the connector on glance.cool/mcp.
